I Do What I Can to Have a Happy Life

I never want to stop having a good time in life. As a kid, I remember watching a large number of adults in my life spend their lives mostly on working, and they left little room in their life for having a good time. They suffered for it, and they knew they were. But they did little to change about themselves. I do a lot of fun things in life like driving limo bus in Toronto and I have an active night life in the city when I’m not working. Both suit me fine and they bring a lot of happiness to me.

My dad was someone who would get angry whenever anyone talked about the fact that he should have fun every once in awhile. He lived and breathed his job. We weren’t anywhere near being poor, and dad said that he had a lot of money socked away. He even invested his money and made even more. But he really never did all that much with it, outside of watching it grow. He didn’t take mom on any fun trips. Continue reading I Do What I Can to Have a Happy Life

Modern Party Buses Do Not Even Look Like a Bus Inside

My grandfather said that limos have come a long way since he was a young man. He said he did not see his first stretch limo until he was in his thirties. Then he was amazed to see a former military vehicle design become a commercial success then a stretch limo. The Hummer limousines are still quite popular. The large SUV limos have been a hit for weddings and proms. Now you can visit Diamond Party Bus in Toronto for the ultimate limousine experience. You no longer have to crawl into a limo. Taking Selfies isnt as Effortless and Uncomplicated as you Thought

With the release of Kim Kardashian’s new book “Selfish” dedicated exclusively to her selfies, it’s clear to see that the selfie trend is here to stay! Who wouldn’t like selfies – it’s like a mini photo shoot where you’re the model, photographer, lighting director, makeup artist and stylist! Whether you’re posting selfies to show off your amazing makeup or your outfit of the day, here are some tips that are sure to have your Instagram followers double tapping and your Facebook friends pressing the like button.

1) Make sure the light is right! Lighting is one of the most important factors when trying to take a flawless selfie. Make sure the lighting doesn’t cast shadows (as this can draw attention to unwanted areas and make facial features appear larger, such as the nose) and try to avoid fluorescent lighting, as this type of lighting is universally unflattering and can make the skin look pale and lifeless. The best type of lighting to use is natural light, if possible!

2) Know your angles! It may take time and some experimenting at first to find your best angles, but it will be worth it! Try different poses and movements to see which ones flatter both your face and body. Knowing your best angles and how to work them is definitely an important factor when taking a selfie. Also, play around with the placement of the camera – you don’t want your selfie to be too close or too far away. A low placed camera angle is usually best to be avoided as it is an unflattering angle for most people.

3) Pick a natural pose! This goes hand in hand with knowing your angles – it’s best to pick a natural pose that doesn’t look too forced or awkward. Play around with head tilts, smiles, and facial expressions until you find the selfie that you like the best.

4) Use caution when choosing a filter! Filters are both amazing and a curse as they can completely change the way a selfie looks. Choose a filter that’s more on the conservative side that adds a flawless look to the selfie, instead of an extreme filter that edits the selfie so much that you don’t even look like yourself anymore. There’s nothing worse than posting a selfie that’s edited so much that people don’t realize it’s you!

5) Write a witty caption! The caption can be describing your makeup, what you’re doing that day, where you’re about to go, details on your outfit – pretty much anything goes! Selfie’s with a caption or description are just that much better than selfies without, and are more likely to gain likes from your followers. Double points if your caption is clever and funny! selfie stick

Air Travel Tips – 3 Must Do Things At The Airport Before You Board The Plane

There are many important things to do at the airport before you board your flight. It is critical to ensure you get these important things done and done correctly so that you will have the most enjoyable flight possible. Most people sometimes forget these simple things, and therefore may end up having a very stressful trip. Here are the three important air travel tips of things you must do at the airport before you fly out.

Tip #1: Arrive to the airport for check in at least 2 hours before departure

Most airlines start the check in process three hours before departure. However if you arrive too early, there is the issue of having too much time to kill in the airport while waiting for your flight, and also there is the issue that by being one of the first to check in, you are usually going to be one of the last to receive your luggage upon arrival.

Therefore it is recommended to arrive to the airport about 2 hours before the scheduled departure to check in your luggage. This optimal timing should provide you enough time to check in, cross through customs and security, and have a minimal waiting time to board your flight.

Tip #2: Go the washroom right before you are ready to enter the boarding gates

This may sound obvious, but many people do not do this and pay the price later. It is a very good idea to go to the washroom right before you are ready to enter the boarding gates to the plane. It is better to get this out of the way so that you can avoid the last minute urge to go to the washroom right when the airplane is about to take off! Also as a plus point, usually the washrooms in the airport are spotless and much cleaner than the washroom on the plane!

Tip #3: Buy any last minute snacks and reading materials

Especially for long flights, you may be stuck in the plane for a long time without anything to do. Therefore while waiting for your flight to depart, it is a good idea to pickup any last minute items such as snacks (such as candy and gum), and reading materials (magazines and books). This way you can arm yourself with things to do during your flight.

Flying can be a tough time for some, simply because of the fact that there are many things to prepare. However if you follow some of these air travel tips, it can help to ease the stress when you reach the airport.

Disney World Travel Tips

Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida, is one of the most visited tourist sites in the world. Tons of people travel thousands of miles to stop and enjoy their four great theme parks. But to see everything in one trip can be very difficult. In this article we will try to cover some Disney World Travel Tips that can help your Disney experience.

The first Disney World Travel Tip is to plan ahead of time. Give yourself plenty of time to find tickets and airfare. Having extra time means you can shop around for the best deal. Some sites offer promotional packages and you can cash in on some savings if you find them. You can also save money if you decide to go during the off season. If you are available in the spring and fall you should be able to find a cheaper package. You can also stay in Disney’s value resort to save money. These resorts are very nice and great for kids.

If you are looking for theme park tickets online auctions can be good place to look. Plans change so people will sell their unused tickets online at a discounted price. Buying your tickets before getting to Disney World will also eliminate standing in line to purchase tickets. With your tickets in hand you can skip the ticket booth and proceed to enter the parks.

Once you know when you are going to Disney you will also want to start making reservations for dinner. I highly recommend their dinning plan. On our last trip we had reservation for two character dining. The kids loved it. If you have little kids be sure to look into the character dining. Do not wait; you will need to make reservations early.

However before you start taking sleeping aides, it is best to consult your local doctor for their expert advice.

Tip #3: Don’t be tempted to sleep during the day at your destination

When you arrive at your destination, usually the first two days you will feel the most jet lagged. With that you will start feeling tired during odd times of the day such as in the late morning, or late afternoon. Do not give in and sleep during these times of the day.

You must push yourself to force your body out of your old time zones and stay awake until it’s the evening when it is proper for a night’s rest. One way to keep your body pumped up for the day is to do some regular exercises and stretches. This will help keep your blood circulating and help to keep your mind focused.

Travel Tips to Ease Your Travel Worries

Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, frequent traveler or first timer, here are a few travel tips to ease your travel worries. Everyone needs a grab-n-go bag, a bag that is always ready when you need it. Toiletries, cosmetics, first aid, personal items, medicines or journal are some of the necessaries. Purchase miniature items that can easily be stored in your grab-n-go bag. Items can be purchase from a local drug store. Here is a brief list of some of the items you may want to store in your grab-n-go bag; toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, deodorant, cotton swabs, extra contacts or glasses, cleaner, carrying case, travel pillow. You get the idea right.

Keep a checklist ready to ensure you have everything you need. Your checklist should be kept with your grab-n-go bag. Once you have stocked your bag your biggest worry is what clothes to pack and what activities will you be engaging in. Remember to pack comfortable shoes, lightweight trousers that can be worn in any weather or season, iron free blouse or shirt, jacket for business meetings or formal meals. Your goal is to pack light and worry free so you can enjoy your trip.

-Make a list of all the things you need. This eliminates packing extra items.

-Make an agenda of all the activities you plan to do. How long will you stay? Will you need formal or casual clothes? How many shoes do you need to pack? Will you do a lot of walking, standing or sitting? Is this a business trip? Vacation?

-Make a list for all family members who are traveling with you. This may be a good idea to do a checklist for those love ones staying behind (i.e. a honey to do list)

-Do you have pets? Who will care for them while you are away?

-How will you travel? Plane, car, or train. Size matters if you are flying, make sure you double check with the airlines for luggage requirements.

-Pack all essential items in a carry on bag (passport, medicines, ID)

Finally, sort and organize all items before you pack them away, double check and re-check your list to ensure you haven’t forgotten anything or added any unnecessary items. Remember to enjoy your trip rather its business or pleasure.

Travel Tips

Vacations are meant to inspire relaxation and peacefulness. While you and your family may be excited to hop on the plane and travel to a tropical destination for your next summer vacation, read up on these few travel tips that will help to ensure you have a fun vacation, not a stressful one.

Tip 1- Always book flights and reservations under your legal name. This is especially important if you have just gotten married but have yet to change over your passport and ID. You may receive a hard time from TSA if the name on your ticket doesn’t match the name on your ID and passport. So remember, no nicknames or post-married names if that’s not what’s on your ID.

Tip 2- Shop around for the best discount and deals. Most of the major travel websites will offer discounts for combining hotels, flights, rental cars, and more. Also, check around for discount codes and coupons, and if you are a member of an agency that has travel reservations, make sure to take advantage of their travel deals. Don’t forget to check with brick-and-mortar travel agencies since they may have tickets available that are priced much lower than major travel sites.

Tip 3- Watch what you pack. With baggage fees and weight limit charges, you will want to be aware of what you are packing so you can avoid getting hit with more-than-a-couple-dollar-charge when it comes to your luggage. Only take necessities and consider bringing as much as you can on your carry-on bag. It will help to weigh your luggage at home before you head to the airport so you know what you are getting yourself into and can plan appropriately if you know you can’t get under the weight limit. If your luggage is too large to simply place on the scale, jump on first and weigh yourself. Grab your bag then hop on the scale a second time and see what the new weight is. Take this weight and subtract your weight alone and that’s how heavy your bag is.

Tip 4- Don’t carry cash. Instead, opt for prepaid credit cards. Travelling with cash is dangerous and can lead to theft or the loss of money. Sign up for a prepaid credit card and get all of the conveniences of playing with “plastic” without the worry of amassing debt or ruining your credit by choosing to buy that mink fur coat you saw on that Alaskan cruise. You’ll only be able to purchase as much as you preload the card with, plus many companies offer theft and fraud protection which is much safer than carrying cash.

Group Travel Planning and Traveling Tips

Thinking about traveling with a group? Group travel can be one of the most rewarding ways to see the world and visit popular destination sites; not only is the vacation care free, but you can make lifelong friends on the way! If you are planning on experiencing group travel for the first time soon, here are some traveling tips to help you have the best group vacation experience.

Have Group Will Travel

Did you know that many group travel companies love it when you already have an established group to travel with? If your church society, school class, hobby club, social group, or extended family and friends want to take a vacation to an exciting destination together, tour operators are happy to handle all the details so your group can travel simultaneously without the hassle of planning the vacation, gathering payments or handling travel documents. This is one of the best ways to travel with a group since you already know the members of the organization, share a common interest and nobody in the group has to handle the tedious details!

Finding the Best Group Travel Services for You

The best group vacation company is the one that meets your needs and provides you with the vacation experience you were looking for! There are all types of tour operators such as adventure travel services, group travel for singles, and senior group travel companies. First, pick a travel company that is specialized in the type of travel you want (unless you already have a group of people to travel with). Then make sure the tour operator is respected and well established in providing escorted vacations. Just because a company claims they have led groups before does not mean they are an established tour operator! Just think, you are leaving all the details and traveling plans up to someone else; that is a lot of responsibility and your happiness is on the line! Make sure you pick a respected, established travel company that is specialized in the type of travel you are looking for and has built relationships with its travel partners from years of doing business together.

International Traveling Tips

If it is your first time traveling overseas then learning about the country you are going to visit is important even when traveling in a group! Simple things like charging your phone might be challenging if you are traveling overseas. Escorted travel companies will try and alert you about native customs and give you international traveling tips, but you might also want to learn the basic “hello” and “goodbye” greetings as well as how to say “yes,” “no” and “thank you” in the native language of the countries you will visit. Don’t forget to pack your passport and any additional documentation you might need for medical purposes; it is good to bring the phone numbers of your home physician in case your medical history needs to be accessed while on vacation.

Unfortunately, going on vacation is a treat that most people only get to do once a year! Group travel can be very rewarding and allow you the comfort of experiencing a foreign land without the feeling of being alone. Tour operators also make sure you have the best travel experience possible so that your escorted vacation becomes your dream vacation.

Travel Tips Before you Travel To a Foreign Country

Here are some things that you should always know about your destination.

Weather – You need to know what you should be packing and planning for.

Paperwork and Documentation – Know what is needed to travel to your particular destination.

Know if there are any diseases common to the area you will be traveling to – this way you are able to take preventative measures.

Costs of local items – You want to be able to properly plan your budget; remember to include taxes and tipping.

Holidays and festivals – check to see when these occur for your destination as you may find limited services on those days.

The best holidays are the ones we are most prepared for. Do yourself a favour; make it a habit to always know as much as you can about your destination before you travel. It’ll make all the difference in the world!

What are some other things that you can do to prepare yourself? Use these travel tips before you travel.

1. Make 2 photocopies of your passport. Take one and put it in a safe place or leave it with a friend. Take the other one with you and keep it in a separate place from your passport, this way should your passport become lost or stolen, you can use the copy to exit the country and it will also facilitate the replacement process.

2. Email yourself important information such as: airline numbers and flight information, credit card numbers, passport and driver’s licence numbers and anything else that may be of importance to you. This way if anything is lost or stolen, you are just and internet connection away.

3. Know your banking information. For your credit card, make sure that the valid dates will remain valid while you’re traveling, know your available spending amount and don’t forget to leave some room on it for emergencies. Check your ATM and debit cards’ daily and total limits.

4. Learn some local phrases. If you are traveling to a country with a foreign language, it’s always nice to know some of the local phrases. Knowing the “polite words” and just a few local phrases will be a huge help. You will find that natives really appreciate this and will tend to be more receptive to your questions. Maybe you’ll even make a new friend while you’re at it!

5. Be aware of the voltage that’s used for the country you’re traveling to. If you are taking anything that requires an outlet; cell phone, computer, video camera, etc. make sure to purchase plug adapters. For things such as hairdryers, curling irons, electric razors, etc to purchase an actual voltage converter unless your appliance has multiple voltage currencies.

When traveling to a foreign country it’s always best to be as prepared as you can be. Do as much research as you possibly can, remember these travel tips before you travel and your trip abroad is sure to be a success.

Here’s your final checklist: Passport, tickets, car rental and hotel reservation receipts/agreements, credit cards, medications or prescriptions, if required, addresses, password and any other important information that you may need.
